Newton Medical Center (NMC) is excited to announce that the Wichita primary care clinic, North Amidon Family Physicians, will begin operating as an NMC primary care clinic on March 1, 2019.
The move comes as current owners, Drs. Maureen Roos and David Wall, retire after 40 years of practicing medicine.
“For the past few years, our greatest fear has been the real possibility that the practice we have built over the past twenty-six years would end at our retirement,” said Dr. Wall. “After meeting with NMC, we were put at ease with knowing our patients would be in good hands. Not only does the organization have a great reputation, but a large part of our patients reside in the hospital’s service area.”
“We’re privileged to help continue the legacy Drs. Roos and Wall have built,” added Alex Haines, NMC Vice President of Clinic Operations. “It is important for us to continue providing excellent service to these patients and their families.”
Sharon Norris, MD, and Jodi Metzger, MD, will continue practicing at North Amidon. Joining them in March are NMC’s Margaret “Maggie” Yoder, DO, and Gary Whiting, PA-C, who currently serve at Park City Family Medicine.
