Newton Medical Center (NMC) welcomed baby boy Jhett Michael as the first baby born at the hospital in the new year.
Baby Jhett, originally due on January 14, arrived at 7:11 a.m. on New Year’s Day. He weighed in at eight pounds, fourteen ounces, and he measured 19 inches long.
The hospital presented Jhett’s family with a gift basket filled with baby clothes, toys and newborn essentials. Newborn photos were taken by Maddie’s Images, who provided the family with a disc of all the images.
