On Tuesday, September 27, Newton Medical Center (NMC) will host a Dinner with the Doctors event to introduce its new telemedicine program.
In partnership with Eagle Telemedicine and Sunflower Telemedicine, NMC launched a telemedicine program for inpatient care early last month. This new technology brings expert physician care to patients’ bedsides through remote videoconferencing.
Two of the telemedicine physicians, Dr. Rob Gorman and Dr. Marc Scarbrough, will present at the upcoming event. Participants will also have a chance to view a special demonstration of the robot and other technology used in this innovative type of hospital care.
Following a 6 p.m. dinner, the program will begin at 6:30 p.m.; there is no cost to attend the program. Dinner is $5 per person and reservations are required. RSVP by Monday, September 19 by calling (316) 804-6129.
The event will take place in the NMC Sunflower Café, 600 Medical Center Drive.
