NMC Health Opens Urology Specialists Clinic and Welcomes New Physician

NEWTON, Kan., (September 25, 2023) – Newton Healthcare Corporation (NMC Health) is pleased to announce the addition of a new physician and specialty clinic to the services we offer in Newton.

 

A skilled urologist and surgeon, Faris Azzouni, MD, will lead the new NMC Health Urology Specialists clinic opening today, at 800 Medical Center Drive.

Bringing this needed expertise to our friends and neighbors with a full-time clinic in Newton is truly exciting.”

 

Dr. Azzouni will begin seeing patients right away and is accepting new patients. He brings with him a wealth of experience in general urology and urologic surgery.

 

“I chose a career in health care to make a difference in people’s lives,” said Dr. Azzouni. “I have been serving patients in Kentucky and Kansas for the past ten years and am thrilled to help launch NMC Health Urology Specialists here in Newton.”

Dr. Azzouni is a graduate of the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. His extensive education includes a general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., and fellowships in pediatric urology and urologic oncology at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y. He comes to us from St. Catherine’s Hospital and Genesis Family Health Clinic in Dodge City, Kan. where he has been practicing since 2019. With fellowship training in urologic oncology and robotic surgery, Dr. Azzouni treats a broad range of urologic conditions and has been serving patients in both Kansas and Kentucky since 2013.

 

His areas of specialty include: prostate, kidney and bladder cancers; kidney disorders and stones; male sexual disorders and implants; treatment of urinary and prostate conditions; pediatric urology; surgical and minimally invasive procedures, and general urologic problems.

As a new practice serving Newton, Harvey County and surrounding communities, NMC Health Urology Specialists is already scheduling traditional Medicare and Medicaid patients and will be accepting new patients with other insurers very soon.
