NEWTON, Kan., (January 11, 2023) – NMC Health’s Immediate Care clinic at 1755 East 61st Street North in Park City is now a Family Medicine clinic with new hours. Open 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday, NMC Health Family Medicine welcomes Darla Rivera, DO and Matt Aitchison, PA to care for local families.
About Dr. Rivera
Dr. Rivera has practiced family medicine in the Wichita area since 1991 after finishing residency training at Via Christi St. Francis.
She views the practice of medicine as a calling and personal responsibility to provide effective and efficient medical care to each and every patient. This unique view has allowed Dr. Rivera to grow an extensive following of patients over her thirty-year career in medicine.
In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Rivera spends her free time trying to keep up with her nine adult children and grandchildren that she has with her husband Rick.
About Matt Aitchison
With the addition of physician assistant (PA), Matt Aitchison, NMC Health will be able to expand Dr. Rivera’s unique approach not only to current patients but also the Park City community at large.
Aitchison has served the El Dorado community as a PA since 2015. He’s cared for patients in family medicine, urgent care, and research settings. He’s also an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor at Wichita State University where he educates and lectures on Type 2 Diabetes and helps PA students with current, research-based medical practices.
Aitchison’s priority with each patient is to ensure concerns are heard and addressed. “I wish patients knew that they’re entitled and encouraged to ask as many questions as they wish to feel comfortable with their health,” he stated.
At this time, NMC Health Family Medicine is welcoming new patients in Park City. “We are committed to caring for the community,” noted Vice President of Clinics Alex Haines. “Park City has been missing a family medicine practice for a couple of years and we are excited we could bring this much needed health care back to the community.”
