Newton Medical Center (NMC) announces the addition of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Tiana Gaines. Gaines joins Newton Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine, a Newton Medical Center clinic.
“I have lived in or near this community for years, and am excited to provide care to the rural communities that I love,” said Gaines. “Joining Newton Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine allows me to combine my personal interests with my career in a challenging way.”
Gaines has a wide array of experience as an APRN, and will assist during surgery and provide patient follow-up care, including wound care.
“Adding Tiana to our staff at Newton Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine allows us to increase our availability to the community,” said Alex Haines, vice president of clinic operations. “Additionally, her impact will increase the face time our providers are able to spend with their patients.”
A graduate of Wichita State University, Gaines earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the university. She belongs to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Kansas Advanced Practice Nurse Association.
