We are currently seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (PRN) for the NMC Health Clinics. In this role, you will collect and process specimen, manage requisitions and orders, order entry, medical necessity verification, screening and managing phone calls, receiving and expediting specimens, and maintaining supply levels. In addition, preform daily and weekly maintenance on waived testing devices to ensure the deliverance of accurate and quality results. Additionally, the Clinical Laboratory Technician should have the ability to perform assigned CLIA-waived testing with required attention to detail.

This position is Monday – Friday (7:30 am – 5 pm), No weekends, nights, or holidays.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 6 to 12 months working as a phlebotomist preferred, specimen processing and waived testing experience preferred

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Training in phlebotomy
• Possesses basic computer operation skills
• Experience with department specific information systems is desirable
• Service-oriented team player with primary patient contact that functions as a phlebotomist utilizing universal precautions

Licensure and certifications:

• Phlebotomy Certification is preferred
