NMC expands services to include home health

NEWTON, Kan., (July 1, 2015) – Newton Medical Center announced today the formal transition of Central Homecare. Central Homecare moved onto the hospital campus earlier this year and now operates as a service of Newton Medical Center.

“Central Homecare can trace its roots from Bethel and Axtell Hospitals beginning in the early 1980s. Its goal was to provide care for patients who were outside the hospital walls,” says Steve Kelly, President and Chief Executive Officer, Newton Medical Center. “Its role today has expanded as a necessary partner with Newton Medical Center in creating an integrated care system to serve patients at every level of care. The vision of those who created Central Homecare continues to benefit our community today. It’s good to have them back as part of the NMC family.”

Central Homecare’s comprehensive services range from skilled health care such as nursing and therapy, to private duty services including personal care, housekeeping and medication reminders. Their business office is located on the NMC campus at 1715 Medical Park Drive, Suite 100.
